What is thermal fog?

Thermal Fogging is a highly effective spraying method with droplet sizes ranging from 1–100 microns (µm), as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO). In this method, the liquid chemical is sprayed in droplets sized between 1–100 microns (µm). The micron sizes are limited and calibrated by factory settings according to the device’s intended use and consumption rates. The liquid chemical is vaporized at approximately 400°C, then when it meets cold air, it disperses as a dense fog (aerosol) cloud. Unlike water-based spraying where droplets are transparent, the sprayed particles in thermal fogging appear as a thick white smoke.

Thermal fogging method:

Provides approximately 12 times more effective and efficient application compared to water-based spraying,
Delivers fast and effective results over large areas.
It is the most effective method for intensive pest control.

Because this method can reduce visibility on roads, its use on highways requires permission from local authorities. However, no permission is required for use on private properties, rural areas, and residential neighborhoods. In literature, the term thermal fogging is often referred to as “oil-based spraying“.
